📞 Call Now — (321) 450-3400In parts of Melbourne Beach only a few hundred yards separate the Atlantic from the Indian River. Salt arrives from both directions, and there is no sheltered side of the island to build a maintenance plan around.
Wind-driven sand compounds it. Sand embeds in the salt film on walls and screens, and blasting at that combination with high pressure sands the surface underneath. This is soft-wash territory: dissolve and rinse rather than blast.
Much of the housing here is older beach construction, sometimes with original wood siding, aged paint, and decades-old fixtures. These are properties where a careless contractor causes damage that costs far more than the wash, so we would rather take longer than take chances.
Soft washing older construction — Original siding and aged paint will not survive high pressure. Everything here is dissolve-and-rinse rather than blast, which takes longer and does not damage the house.
Salt and sand film removal — Sand embedded in salt film abrades the surface if attacked with pressure. It needs to be chemically loosened first, then rinsed.
Roof and deck cleaning — Island roofs streak early, and decks facing the dune line take heavy salt and sand. Both respond to the correct treatment and poorly to force.
